La Amada

The La Amada project comprises 205 condominium residences set in a prime marina-front location within Playa Mujeres. All residences have views of the Caribbean Sea, the marina, or the Chacmochuc Nature Reserve. Fully completed in 2010 at the height of recessionary times, La Amada sales stalled with only 38 homes finding owners.

One of Mexico’s premiere private equity firms purchased La Amada in late 2015. In January of 2016, PowerPlay was engaged to make recommendations on repositioning the project and to relaunch an international sales effort, scheduled for spring of 2017.

La Amada features one to three bedrooms homes with luxurious interior finishes. Residences range from 1,700 up to 4,400 square feet for the largest penthouses, which also feature expansive roof decks. Some models offer service quarters. Prices will range from $300,000 to just over $1,300,000 (USD).

Owners and guests currently have access to the amenities of the La Amada Beach Club, a gymnasium, tennis and paddle tennis, two rooftop pool decks, and communal areas with infinity swimming pools and tropical gardens. The developers plan extensive property upgrades scheduled to begin in the summer of 2017.

Project Details

  • Developer will offer fully furnished units along with an Airbnb/VRBO friendly rental management program for absentee owners.

Current Status

The PowerPlay team is currently working through a sales and marketing mobilization plan with sales effort to begin in the spring of 2017.
