What most people would never guess about me?
I started my career in sports marketing responsible for shepherding athletes to and from autograph sessions, ultimately working on four continents and three Olympic Games.   Last year I could barely get my hands on a full price ticket at the Vancouver Winter Olympics being held 10 minutes from my house.  As in real estate (and life): timing is everything.

Official Biography:

Erika has significant sales leadership experience spanning multiple countries, disciplines and industry sectors; she has successfully closed $1B in sales business during her 17-year career.   Joining PowerPlay Destination Properties in Fall 2010, Erika provides a strategic focus on business development and an emphasis on each project’s sales leadership, skill development, sales training and goal management.  Erika delivers a relentless concentration on achieving business results while growing team members professional and personal excellence.

Erika worked as Senior Vice President Global Sales for Playground, a division of Intrawest.  In this role she stood for a customer-first, innovative and results-oriented approach to leading Playground’s global sales teams.  During 2008 and 2009 Erika was solely responsible for delivering over $500M of closings at a project based out of Maui, Hawaii, which had pre-construction contracts written prior the US market downturn.  Honua Kai Resort & Spa, a master plan resort encompassing over 600 units, remains one of the most a stable and successful projects within the state of Hawaii due to the strong base of closings realized during this time.

While at Playground she also spent time in the role of Vice President Europe leading Playground’s European business unit with offices in London and Lausanne.   Erika was responsible for delivering sales and marketing initiatives focused on active real estate launches in Flaine, Edenarc and Les Arcs 1950, all based in the French Alps, and a master plan unveiling in St. Emilion, France.   The Europe business encompassed 63 employees and $310M gross revenue.

Prior to joining Playground, Erika was Senior Director, Business Development at Blast Radius, a global interactive agency.  Blast Radius delivered multi-channel ecommerce websites for clients such as BMW, Nike, DirecTV and AOL where Erika’s role included identifying and securing new multi-national business accounts as well as ultimately making introductions to WPP who acquired Blast Radius in 2006.

She has also held sales, business development and client services positions at Microsoft Corporation, TELUS Communications, Columbus Group, LANG & Associates and worked with the International Olympic Committee, Canadian Olympic Association, US Olympic Committee, PGA, Coca Cola, Samsung and Kodak among other global brands.

Erika has worked in Australia, Japan, UK, Switzerland, France, Morocco, Mexico and across North America representing sales, business development and client services roles spanning entertainment, communications, technology and real estate sectors, achieving results while creating and sustaining dynamic and energized team-focused cultures.  She is passionate about people, customer experience, and results – and their vital co-existence in high-performing organizations.
