Mark has extensive senior management and executive experience in Regional oversight, Business Development, managing multiple sales teams in several resort locations as well as the creation of sales strategy to reignite floundering sales efforts. Known as an energetic team builder Mark has more than 18 years of international experience concluding complex transactions for real estate, foreign brand licensing and government military contracts.

Mark worked as Vice President of Business Development for Playground, an Intrawest company. Mark was responsible for the negotiation of over 18 major resort projects in the United States, Mexico and Costa Rica. This included listing creation and finalization, transition into project mobilization, sales strategy envisioning and sales team handoff for sales execution.

Prior to this Mark worked as Vice President of the South East Business Unit where Mark was responsible for the management and operation of the Southeast business unit for Playground. This included oversight on over 12 projects in the southeast USA including project mobilization, sales strategy and envisioning as well as sales team hiring and training. Led weekly client calls to review all aspects of resort projects including strategy, budgets and reporting of weekly results against plan.

Prior to joining Playground, Mark was President of Sierra Designs, a Global outdoor lifestyle brand. Sierra Designs has a strong 40-year heritage creating innovative tents, sleeping bags and technical apparel selling to more than 1,200 North American specialty retailers and international licensees in Europe, Asia and South America. Mark also led Sierra Designs’ military product efforts resulting in contracts with US Special Forces for Operation Enduring Freedom.
He has worked internationally in Mexico, China, Costa Rica and Canada. His industry experience spans from being a Commercial Real Estate broker, Retail Operations and Global Brand manager.
