Official Biography:
Stuart has extensive senior executive experience encompassing Marketing, Strategy, Business Development, Resort Real Estate Envisioning and Master-planning, Operations and General Management including creating, establishing and operating two real estate sales and marketing companies.
Stuart is a founding Principal of Powerplay Destination Properties which has grown, in a period of just 18 months, to become a leading provider of sales and marketing services to “storied” real estate developers, with clients in mainland USA and Hawaii, Mexico, Australia, Argentina.

Previously, as President, Colliers-Playground Asia-Pacific (a joint venture between Playground, an Intrawest Company and Colliers International), Stuart oversaw all aspects of creating and running the joint venture, secured new business within Australia and New Zealand and directly led the project team working on a major master planned community project: Jack’s Point in Queenstown New Zealand.
Prior to this Stuart worked for Playground as Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing Innovation. In this role he built the Marketing function up to become a strong and effective partner to Sales, architected The Playground Way and lead the team that built this into a world-class knowledge base capturing years of expertise in Resort Marketing. Whenever and wherever needed, Stuart and team developed the tools, methodologies, processes and training needed to make Playground world class. Stuart directly reviewed and approved all Playground marketing and sales strategies initially while building up the Regional Team capabilities.

Prior to joining Playground, Stuart was VP Marketing for Dixons, Europe’s largest electrical retailer, where he developed their e-commerce infrastructure and built this into a highly profitable and scalable business as well as leading the brand repositioning of Dixons stores. Stuart also has 13 years experience consulting to major international companies at Board levelon strategy and marketing for international players such as Deloittes, Coopers & Lybrand and PwC.
He has worked internationally in the UK, Eastern Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada. His industry experience spans Retail, FMCG, Resort Real Estate Financial Services, Automotive, Oil, and other sectors.

Memberships, Organizations and Accolades:
Stuart earned a 1st class honours degree in Production Engineering at Cambridge University, UK, coming top in the University. He also won the Ford prize for engineering excellence, and rowed for his College – “winning his oars” in 1986. He won the President’s Leadership Excellence award at Playground twice.
