Dylan Wheeler is currently responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing and sales strategies at PowerPlay. Wheeler directs PowerPlay’s Digital Marketing team and is involved in the nearly every PowerPlay project. His areas of expertise include building an effective online presence, Search Engine Optimization, search and social marketing, online reputation management, and reporting and analysis.
In addition to Digital Marketing, Wheeler is an expert in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in real estate, having previously implemented and customized a variety of CRM systems for project sales teams. Wheeler is passionate about making complex technologies simpler and easier for non-experts to use; focusing on developing people to get the most out of new technologies rather than on developing technology for its own sake.
Previous roles include Business Analyst and Project Manager, Intrawest (a leading resort real estate developer), and Sales Support Specialist at Playground, an Intrawest Company. At Intrawest, Wheeler led the implementation of technologies to automate and manage the closing and conveyance process. This system was used successfully to close over $500m in sales. At Playground, Wheeler started his real estate career within the Sales Innovation group, which was responsible for raising the overall level of effectiveness of Playground’s sales force. Wheeler developed and delivered sales training on how to integrate selling methodologies with support systems. Wheeler also analyzed business processes and created key metrics reports, and served as a marketing analyst on multiple projects.
Wheeler holds an honors BA degree in English from Simon Fraser University, Canada.
