Stuart Carson has extensive senior executive experience in multiple industries and countries encompassing Sales & Marketing, Strategy, Business Development, Resort Real Estate Envisioning and Master-planning, Operations and General Management including creating two real estate sales and marketing companies.

Carson is a founding Principal of PowerPlay Destination Properties Inc. which has grown, to become a leading provider of sales and marketing and development services to “storied” real estate developers, with clients in mainland USA and Hawaii, Mexico, Australia and listings in excess of $2bn.

Previous roles include President, Colliers-Playground (a resort real estate sales and marketing joint venture between Intrawest and Colliers International in the Asia-Pacific ), and Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing Innovation at Playground, an Intrawest Company. In this role Carson lead the team that developed a world-class knowledge base capturing decades of expertise in Resort Development, Sales & Marketing and synthesizing this into the tools, methodologies, processes and training needed to make Playground the industry-leader in resort real estate sales & marketing.

Prior to joining Playground, Carson was VP Marketing for Dixons Stores Group, Europe’s largest electrical retailer, where he developed their e-commerce infrastructure from scratch into a highly profitable and scalable business. Some 15 years later the same infrastructure still meets the online business needs of 6 brands with over 1,000 stores. Carson also lead the brand repositioning of Dixons stores, the flagship brand of the group.

Carson has 13 years experience consulting to major international companies at Board level with Deloittes, Coopers & Lybrand and PwC Management Consultants in the UK, Eastern Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada. Carson started his career with sales & marketing, advertising and strategy development roles for Shell UK Oil.

Carson holds a 1st class Masters degree in Engineering from Cambridge University, UK, graduating top of his tripos. He combines highly developed analytical skills and innovative thinking with a passion for getting things done.
